The rental market in Iceland
The course covers the Icelandic rental market, the situation of tenants and what measures are available to improve their position.
The Chairman of the Tenants' Association in Iceland presents the state of the Icelandic rental market and compares it with neighboring countries. The main challenges of tenants will be reviewed, the struggle issues of the Tenants' Association and the demands that the association emphasizes.
The activities and services of the Tenants' Assistance of the Consumer Associations will also be presented. Common issues that arise for the Tenants' Assistance will be reviewed, the remedies available to tenants, the obligations of tenants and landlords, and provisions of the tenancy law that may be deviated from in the lease agreement.

Pension rights
The course covers the main issues concerning pension rights in Iceland.
A representative of the National Association of Pension Funds answers, among other things, questions about:
- How does the pension fund system work in Iceland?
- How are public pension funds connected to the Social Insurance Administration?
- Where can you access information about your own pension rights?
- How can one prepare for the end of employment?
The course is offered in Icelandic, English and Polish.

The tax system in Iceland
The course covers the main laws and regulations about the tax system in Iceland. It will discuss the obligations of taxpayers, the difference in salary payments and contractor payments, the preparation of tax returns and which expenses can be used for tax deductions.

Rights and obligations in the labor market
Efling offers union members courses on rights and obligations in the labour market.
At the course, members receive information about their main rights according to collective agreements and the trade union. Experts Efling in labor matters go among other things over sick leave rights, notice period, wages, vacation and other important issues related to rights and obligations in the labor market. Also the members' rights in the funds Efling will be presented.
