The Directorate of Labor provides information, guidance, and assistance regarding unemployment benefits and job search, maternity leave payments and payments from the Wage Guarantee Fund.

What employment matters should you monitor and keep records of?
Employment contract
According to collective agreements, you have the right to be given a written employment contract. A written employment contract is an important document and should include the following information: full name of employee and employer, place of work, employment rate, job title and job description, salary, pension fund, applicable collective agreement, and union membership.
Time records
Employers are obliged to keep track of employees' working hours using a time-recording system, and employees should have the option to access their time records for the past 12 months.
However, it is a good rule to keep good records of all hours worked yourself. If a dispute arises between you and your employer regarding hours worked, seek assistance from Efling, as having reliable and well-recorded information about your working hours can make all the difference.
Payslips
Payslips must clearly show all wages and deductions, including taxes, pension fund contributions, union membership premiums, and any other amounts deducted from wages.
Employees are advised to review their payslip each time wages are paid and to compare the information with the amount deposited into their bank account. The payslip serves as the employee's receipt confirming that statutory deductions and public charges have been withheld from wages.
Communication with the employer
If analysis or problems arise at the workplace we encourage you to seek Efling. It is important to communicate with the employer in writing, e.g., via email or other communication means.
