Employer Portal
Employers who submit payroll returns to Efling can access the Employer Portal.
For Empployers
The Employer Portal is available to employers who submit premiums returns to Efling and other
participating trade unions.
On the portal you can:
- View submitted payroll returns
- Print contribution certificates
- View employee list.
- Submit new premium returns
How to get access?
New access requests must be approved by an authorized company representative. Access can be requested in two ways:
- By a company representative:
Send an email to
skilagrein@efling.is and include the name, ID number and email address of the person who should be granted access.
- By an accountant or payroll provider
Accountants and payroll providers may also request access, provided that confirmation from an authorized company representative is included.
Once the request has been processed, login details will be sent by email.
Access management
After logging in, the company representative can manage user access for the company, view current
users, update permissions and add new users.
Shared web – Total membership system
This is a shared portal for trade unions that use the Tótal membership system. Employers only need one login to access all participating unions to which they submit returns.

- Hlíf Trade Union
- Matvís
- Electrical Workers’ Union of Iceland
- VM – Union of Marine Engineers and Metal Technicians

- Samstaða Trade Union
- Seafarers’ Union of Eyjafjörður
- Akranes Trade Union
- Keflavík and Surrounding Area Seafarers’ and Workers’ Union
