Transfer of rights between vocational training funds

Starfsafl, Landsmennt, the Trade and Office Workers' Training Fund and SV follow an agreement on the transfer of members' rights between the educational funds. The agreement is intended to ensure a fair transfer of rights between funds. A member who changes unions is given the opportunity to apply for a transfer of rights from their old educational fund/employee training fund to the new one.
A summary of paid membership fees is sent to the new fund/union, which calculates the member's rights according to the rules that that association operates under.
If grants have been used from a previous fund during the calendar year, they will be deducted from the entitlement in the new one. If no grant has been paid in the last 36 months in the person's membership history, he has the option of applying for accumulated grants in his new fund.
Transfer must be requested within 12 months after payments begin to be received by the new company.
It is not possible to apply for a grant from a new fund if the invoice is older than 12 months or issued before the applicant begins making payments to the other company.
