Consensus and strength characterized Eflingþing – Images
The first Efling meeting took place on 26-27 February last year. It is safe to say that the meeting was extremely successful. Around 200 powerful Efling members gathered in Austurbæjarbíó to shape the association's policy and discuss the main issues of the workforce. The meeting featured a diverse range of agenda items where delegates worked together in groups, exchanged views and presented proposals for the focus of the next term. The outcome included, among other things, four bold resolutions on owner-occupied housing, rental housing, wage fraud and contract termination, and the empowerment of the workforce at the workplace.
Delegates also worked together in so-called occupational groups where they discussed common issues from their professional fields and shared their experience. This work was an important step in ensuring that issues of different occupations within the union were heard clearly.

Guests, both foreign and domestic, applauded the meeting and contributed to the discussion, and their statements attracted attention and sparked further debate among the participants.
Accompanying images from the meeting provide insight into the mood, from issue work and occupational groups to guests' speeches.
